Transportation

Los Angeles, California is the second largest city in the U.S., with a population of over 17 million people in the greater L.A. basin and surrounding communities. The city has an extensive "fee-free" freeway system, interconnecting all parts of the metro area.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) accommodates many direct flights from locations around the world, and is the airport most convenient in proximity to the Los Angeles Coffee Business School (10.2 miles / 25 minutes*). Vehicles can be rented at the airport, or a taxi or shuttle service can be taken from the airport to your hotel near the school (taxi fare to school: approximately $34 U.S. - $39. w/ suggested 15% tip; your expense for a taxi or shuttle from the airport to your hotel will vary depending upon its distance from the school.)

While L.A. does have bus transportation and a light-rail / subway in some areas of the city, a rental car or taxi will likely be the most convenient means of travel for the daily commute between your hotel and the school.

The school does have limited parking spaces available if you plan to rent a vehicle. If you plan to explore any of the surrounding areas or attractions while you are in Los Angeles, then having a rental car would make good sense.

• Travel time will vary depending on time of day and traffic volume.
